Less than five years ago, spa and massage salons were never heard of here in Bohol. Most Boholanos, if they feel too tired and yearn for a body massage, they just call their favorite "manghihilot" (traditional massuer)and have the ritual done at the comfort of home.
As far as I can remember, Le Spa Massage Salon, then located along CPG North Ave, just after City Hardware. The first time I tried their massage routine there, I liked it. It was so relaxing. I interviewed the one who did the massage on me and she said, their massage routine was designed by a professional physical therapist.
Not too long after, other massage salons started to sprout up. Body and Soul opened infront of the Bohol Cultural Center along CPG Avenue, then the Grand Royal Spa, Midifinger, Nua Thai, Krua Thai..and many more. Resorts and hotels in Tagbilaran City and in Panglao also started to open their own spas and offer massage and spa services to their clients.
Prices of massage services in different salons in Tagbilaran City ranges from P75 to P550, depending on the kind of service you want to avail of. Foot spa/massage is the cheapest though. Body massage is at P150 for one hour on the average.
Most spa and massage salons here are clean and safe. Nothing kinky inside, although I've heard of one or two salons (which are patronized by cheapy individuals anyway) includes "other" services though.
So, when you are in Bohol, it would also be another treat to yourself if you drop by any of the reputable spa or massage salons, after an enjoyable but tiresome tour of the beautiful tourist spots in Bohol.
